The Indy Area Healthcare Executives Network was established in May of 1999 by Barbara Broadbridge, President and Owner of The Broadbridge Group, Inc., with the support of the ACHE Regents advisory council. Its primary purpose was to introduce executives from various sectors of healthcare in central Indiana and assist them in developing long term professional relationships. The organization grew to include executives from all over Indiana as well as Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. IHEN formally affiliated with ACHE in 2001 and after changing it's name to the Indiana Healthcare Executives Network was incorporated in 2003.
In 2003 IHEN received the ACHE District IV Outstanding HealthCare Executive Group Award.
